JLDC Staff
JLDC is staffed through a collaborative agreement between MSU Extension, Jefferson County and JLDC. The Manager and Assistant Manager are MSU Extension Agents focusing on Community and Economic Development. They serve as loaned staff to the JLDC through an agreement between the three entities.
As with other county Extension offices in Montana, Jefferson County provides office space and administrative support for the Extension Agents.
Tara Mastel, Manager Tara Mastel, the manager for JLDC has been on staff since early 2006. Tara has a Masters degree in Urban and Regional Planning with a focus on Regional, Economic and Workforce Development from the Humphrey Institute at the University of Minnesota. Tara worked in marketing research for 7 years before turning her focus to rural economic and community development in 1998. |

Tom Harrington, Assistant Manager Tom Harrington, the Assistant Manager for JLDC has a degree in finance and is a former board member and has been on staff since 2002. He retired from the military and currently is involved in numerous volunteer organizations in various leadership positions. |

Nancy Wheeler, Office Manager Nancy, the office manager, has worked with the MSU Extension program for over 20 years and was here when the JLDC was created. Nancy keeps the books, takes minutes and organizes key meetings for the organization. |

Take the Whitehall Exit
Turn south and drive into the town of Whitehall
At the "t", take a left onto Legion Avenue
We are at 309 East Legion Avenue in the red brick building. Our entrance is on the east side of the building.
From Boulder:
Drive south on Highway 69
At the "T" of Highway 69 and Highway 2, turn right onto Highway 2
Drive about 5 miles west to the town of Whitehall
